Quick Bio

The work of Slovak designer Ludmila Žilkova focuses on several areas. She uses an experimental approach to her projects, trying to re-think common manufacturing technologies and rules of production by means of studying the behavior and particular properties of the given material. Her design vocabulary ranges from a minimalistic reduction of shapes to a great focus on detail, which always creates contrast in her work. She is interested in new media, as well as in technologies which pour new emotion into established forms.
