The Shangri-La at the Fort in Manila is a five-star luxurious sanctuary for both business and leisure travelers. Located in a landmark mixed-used complex allows guests to stay, relax, dine, shop, work out and play – in one of the tallest buildings in the Philippines. Lasvit cooperated with interior designer HBA to create stunning, jewel-like installations for the building’s lobby, ballrooms, and lounge.
This lighting sculpture, located in the ballroom, used thousands of hanging crystals dripping from above as lighting, said to be reminiscent of intertwined crystal necklaces. The overall shape is inspired by the shape of the cloud used in Asian drawings.
The Lasvit Lobby & Lounge area pieces are inspired by traditional jewelry. The Lobby lighting sculpture cascades from the ceiling of the Shangri-La hotel lobby and is inspired by a traditional broch design, but further innovated in a way which appeals to the cosmopolitan design tastes of a modern world. The Lounge Area piece is the inverted version of the same idea.
