Neverending Glory reached to Shanghai

New inspiration and LASVIT´s signature design stroke the visitors of this year’s edition of Design Shanghai, Asia’s leading design event. “On the way to fulfil our vision to be the most inspiring glassmaking company in the world, we are proudly presenting a selection of our artwork this March in Shanghai. We keep pushing the boundaries of glass design while combining thousands-year tradition with contemporary art,” said on the opening Leon Jakimič, President of LASVIT.

For the small edition, it was the only journey outside Europe so far. “One of the reasons to enhance the collection was the idea to create clusters combining both sizes,” explains Jan Plecháč. Visitors of the design fair in Shanghai know what he meant. They had the opportunity to admire installation consisting of sixty-five pieces combining the original size and the small ones.

The inspiration for the Neverending Glory collection comes from iconic chandeliers of the world´s five most eminent concert halls and theatres; La Scala in Milan, Palais Garnier in Paris, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Czech Republic’s Estates Theater in Prague, and indeed the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow.
