Quick Bio

This world-class designer was born in 1978 in Mladá Boleslav. He studied the art of toy-making at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Prague, and eventually made a name for himself with the wooden toys of the ‘Afrika’ series. During his studies at the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague, he won many awards and his innovative designs confirmed his place among the top-100 icons of Czech design. In 2006, he founded the design studio Inveno. Up until 2015, he led a design studio at the Faculty of Architecture at the Czech Technical University. He works mostly in product design, predominantly designing furniture, lighting, toys and medical products.
