Quick Bio

Monika Kořínková graduated from the Product Design studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. In 2014, she was awarded the Elle Decoration award in the Tableware category for her bachelor’s thesis. A year later, she was acclaimed in the same category for her porcelain collection called Pierot. The collection was presented at Designblok and received a prestigious nomination for the Discovery of the Year award at the Czech Grand Design Awards. Monika has presented her work not only in the Czech Republic, but also abroad, for instance at Milan’s Salone Del Mobile, Ambiente Frankfurt, Maison et Objet Paris, or Tent London. During her studies, Monika had collaborated with established Czech and foreign brands. She finds inspiration in history, art, high-quality materials and meticulous attention to detail, all the time drawing on the values of traditional craftsmanship.
